| Who we serve...
The Challenger Learning Center's
main function is to serve students and to excite, then, at an
early age, about learning science, mathematics, and
technology. Challenger Learning Centers are a symbol of a
community's devotion to education; they serve as a huge assest
and a point of pride to the community. But no matter how
much support a community gives; it is vital for the school
systems in the service area to support the center. The
Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky has been extremely
fortunate to have school districts that were willing to devote
district funds, personnel, classroom time, and other resources
to assure our success. The center began with 16
charter-sponsoring school districts in the spring of 1999 and
expanded to 25 in 1999/2000. These sponsoring school districts
signs contracts committing to send all their 6th grade students
through the Challenger Center during the school year. The
Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky Board of Directors is
proud to list those school districts and say thank you for
supporting this unique opportunity.
