Flat Stanley Visits the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky!
Recently the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky had a special guest, his name was Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley came all the way from Grand Prairie, Texas. While he was here, Flat Stanley visited Mission Control where he completed a pre-flight checklist, and tested the communication link before his flight into space. He then boarded the space shuttle and journeyed to space where he docked with the space station and orbited the Earth. Upon his return to Earth, Flat Stanley was given a Hero's Welcome ( a long standing tradition at NASA) and was named Honorary Guest of the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky.
Flat Stanley is a friend of Samantha Brooks, a student at Bonham Elementary School in Grand Prairie Texas. While he was in Hazard, Flat Stanley stayed with Samantha's Grandma, Deborah Marcum. We at the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky really enjoyed our visit with Flat Stanley and he is welcome to come back any time.
